Gimme Some Truth
Over the next few months, Jamooza will be mutating and evolving into a positive oasis of interesting possibilities. For this reason, I believe that I will remove the Politics category. Certainly, politics is a popular topic and many political blogs have achieved great success. Then again, so has Jerry Springer. In this country, politics has become a divisive cesspool of mediocrity that gurgles up from our capital, dispersing a stench of disdain, anger and distrust throughout our great country. We have managed to achieve exactly what our collective minds have wished for: a place where Washington DC and Hollywood are barely distinguishable. The sad part is that we are all arguing from a position of weakness because our politicians (both Democrats and Republicans) who “represent” us, are at best blatant hypocrites.
Let me know what you think. Should I remove the politics category? For now, I will end this post with a powerful quote that applies to our Republican and Democractic representives:
I’m sick and tired of hearing things
From uptight, short-sighted, narrow-minded hypocritics
All I want is the truth
Just gimme some truth
By neurotic, psychotic, pig-headed politicians
All I want is the truth
Just gimme some truth
Is gonna mother hubbard soft soap me
With just a pocketful of hope
Money for dope
Money for rope
From tight-lipped, condescending, mamas little chauvinists
All I want is the truth
Just gimme some truth now
Of schizophrenic, ego-centric, paranoiac, prima-donnas
All I want is the truth now
Just gimme some truth
From uptight, short-sighted, narrow-minded hypocrites
All I want is the truth now
Just gimme some truth now

I think there is a definite big separation between politics…and everything else. So I agree with you and think it is a good idea. And it is not like you can’t just put it back or add a politics category again anytime you want to!
Can’t wait to see the site as you make your changes!
