His movies are an alternate perspective on a popular Hollywood genre - be it an Alien invasion (Signs), The comic/superhero influence (Unbreakable) or a fairy tale adaptation (Lady In The Water) The potential for this sort of movie making concept is fantastic yet Mr Shyamalan is suffering from some really bad scriptwriting. I almost feel sorry for M Night Shyamalan.
