The Spark of Comets Red

A comet sparkled blue
And red across the starlit sky

Now Isolated
And Extinguished
By the satin chill of night

He watched it all
From ice cold storage
Deep inside a bin

With warmness and
A kind repose
She reaches out
And then

Through window’s light
His eyes did see
Perihelion again

For this gift
From her to him
He gently said
The words without them

With just a single rose
And for the spark of comets red
The joy of friendship grows
